THE POWER OF COMPASSION
Radical Generosity is an opportunity for you to share your heart for helping children in poverty.
In 2019, C3 is partnered with Compassion International to build a church in San Juan Chamelco (near Coban) in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. The church’s name is Iglesias Del Nazareno led by Pastor Carlos. Guatemala has recently become more open to Jesus, creating opportunities for C3 to lead more people into NEW and GROWING relationships with Jesus.
In 2020, we raised more than $59,000 thanks to YOUR generosity! This money will be used to support Guatemalan families in times of need and natural disasters and cover the sponsorship of any child yet to be sponsored. THANK YOU!
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Sponsor a child! Poverty tells children that they have no future. Sponsorship tells them otherwise. Sponsor a child for only $38 a month and give him or her the best gift ever — hope! Text C3GIVES to 83393 to sponsor a child NOW! Or to go www.compassion.com/c3tricities to see all children waiting to be sponsored. Children (7-14 years old) involved in child labor
Guatemala is the most populous country in Central America with about 17 million people. Unfortunately, Guatemala is a predominantly poor country that struggles in several areas of health and development, including infant, child, and maternal mortality, malnutrition, literacy, among other things. Two-thirds of the population live on less than $2 dollars a day. The country has the sixth highest chronic malnutrition rate in the world. Malnourished children face many developmental challenges, including a reduced ability to concentrate in school. Access to education is difficult. Underinvestment in buildings, materials and staffing mean that schools are often unable to deliver a quality education, particularly in rural areas. There are 2 million Guatemalan children, of school age, who are not enrolled, the majority being girls. Consider sponsoring a child and improving their life and relationship with Jesus.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sponsorship

$38 per month (tax deductible). This is done via credit card. All financial transactions are run through Compassion International. C3 does not set the cost, touch the money, or handle the credit card information. Learn more here.
What benefits does the child receive?
- Medical checkups, which often save lives
- Nutritious food
- Health and hygiene training
- Educational assistance
- Access to special services like surgeries and disaster relief
- Mentoring to help children discover their incredible value as God’s children
- Most important of all, your sponsored child will hear about Jesus Christ and be encouraged to develop a lifelong relationship with God. Just imagine how exciting it will be when one day you get to heaven and your sponsored child is there with you because you chose to sponsor him or her.
Can I write to my child?
Can I send other gifts?
Only monetary gifts can be sent through Compassion in the form of a Child GIFT, BDAY GIFT or FAMILY GIFT. Since most all of these children do not have a mailing address, material gifts other than letters cannot be sent.
I still have questions. What should I do?
Visit and explore Compassion International’s website.
Here are some areas for quick website access:
Compassion International is a child-advocacy ministry pairing compassionate people with children living in extreme poverty to release the children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty.
How long is the commitment?
This is a personal commitment. We understand that a sponsor’s financial situation may change, so you can stop at any time.
Compassion asks however, for the sake of the child, that sponsors enter into this relationship with the intention that it will be for the long term. Sponsored children graduate from the program between the ages of 18 and 22, after receiving some post high school training or education.
How much money goes to the child?
A minimum of 80 cents of every dollar goes to the child. Compassion has consistently been recognized by Charity Navigator, Forbes and the Nonprofit Times for superior financial integrity.
Will my child write to me?
Yes. Each child is required to write twice a year & send a ‘thank you’ letter for any monetary gift over $50. Young children will be in the learning process.
As a sponsor you will also receive:
- Child sponsorship information packet
- Photos of your child
- Option to send letters/photos electronically
The first letter from your child will be received 2-4 months after sponsorship begins.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charge for the initial payment when the form arrives at headquarters (within 10 business days). Sponsors may call Compassion at any time to adjust their monthly auto-pay date.
